MATTHEW PERRY HAD CUT THE SCENES WHERE HIS CHARACTER, CHANDLER BING, WAS CHEATING ON HIS GIRLFRIEND, THE CHARACTER OF COURTENEY COX, IN THE ICONIC TV SHOW, FRIENDS

Late actor Matthew Perry’s most known role was from the legendary TV show, Friends. He had gave life to Chandler Bing in the series.


As the TV show got more and more success and fame, Matthew and his co-stars were gaining fame too. His character, Chandler was in a relationship with Monica, who played by Courteney Cox. So Cox and Perry had a great relationship.


As Perry was struggling with his drug and alcohol abuse, Cox one of the people that had played a supportive role as he was battling against his addictions. As Cox once stated about his struggle, in one of her inteviews,


“He’s just struggled for a while. I think he’s doing great now.”


They were great friends in real life, which Cox had stated that she got inspired from him. As she was having her own show, Cougar Town, Perry had appeared on one episode, where she had a lovely chat with him, and how she was having help from Perry, in terms of acting, while they were on the show.
Courteney Cox had stated about Matthew Perry that, his “ability to show very raw emotion and make close connections with his audience.”


Perry had talked about Cox too, in his memoir that was published on the last year, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. He had stated about cox that she was, “…so beautiful…cripplingly beautiful.”
As they had a great relationship, director of the series stated that they had talked about Perry’s passing with his co-stars as, “I texted the girls the day we found out, and they were—they were destroyed, it’s a brother dying.”


Recently it had surfaced that they were planning an affair in the show, Friends, where Perry’s character, Chandler was cheating Monica, Cox’s character, and the two had a huge fight.


As they were shooting a hotel scene, where Chandler was cheating on Monica, with the actress Lisa Cash is playing, Perry had managed the cut the scene, and kept it away from the show, then Lisa Cash had played a flight attendant. As Lisa had stated, “…We had rehearsed it and everything, and then the day before we were shooting in front of a live audience, I was told that Chandler went to the writers and said that the audience will never forgive him for cheating on Monica, which, he was probably right…”
